Three patients from the shooting being treated at a nearby trauma center, a hospital spokesperson said. Beavercreek police said they responded to the shooting and that there was no was longer any threat to the public. Todd Haimes, who rescued New York’s Roundabout Theater Company from bankruptcy and built it into one of the largest nonprofit theaters in America, died on Wednesday at 66. His death, at Memorial Sloan Kettering hospital in Manhattan, was caused by complications of osteosarcoma, according to a spokesman, Matt Polk. Mr. Haimes had lived with the cancer since 2002, when he was diagnosed with sarcoma of the jaw. As the artistic director and chief executive officer at Roundabout, Mr. Haimes had an extraordinarily long and effective tenure. He led the organization for four decades, turning the nonprofit company into a major player on Broadway, where it now runs three of the 41 theaters.

A video viewed more than 135,000 times on Facebook begins with: “THIS CURE FOR CANCER WAS DISCOVERED 42 YEARS AGO…” (here). A search of the database also shows no reported Phase 3 or randomized controlled studies on any antineoplastons as a cancer treatment. To approve a drug, FDA requires phase 3 studies to demonstrate “whether or not a product offers a treatment benefit to a specific population” (here).
